Dr Stefanie Kappler on BBC Radio 5 Live on Nelson Mandela

Dr Stefanie Kappler appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live on Friday 6th December 2013, reflecting on the death of Nelson Mandela and the future of South Africa.

Stefanie Kappler spoke about the legacy of Nelson Mandela as encouraging people to stand up for their rights. She stated that one of the biggest achievements of Mandela was his ability to talk about reconciliation and forgiveness after being a subject of violence during his 27 years of imprisonment.

Regarding the future of South Africa  Dr Kappler illustrated the importance of the on-going controversial debates about associated questions of social justice and economic inequality
