The Tutu Centre held its second roundtable on Thursday, 25th April. It addressed the challenges in post-conflict Sri Lanka, including itspolitical as well as societal implications. Speakers with rich first-hand experience of the country and different backgrounds revealed their view on today's situation at the island state. The panel included speakers from Liverpool Hope University as well as from Birmingham and was chaired by Dr Nirmala Pillay from Liverpool John Moores University. After the event, discussions continued in a relaxed atmosphere with refreshments.
We would like to thank all the speakers and guests for contributing to stimulating discussions. We look forward to our next roundtable to be held at the beginning of the next semester. Details will be posted soon.
